Haibun #4
A friend of mine had blamed me for not reminding him about a homework assignment that was due today in a class we have together. I'd asked him if I was his BlackBerry and he said "No, you're my MelBerry". He'd then asked me what I was doing after class; I responded with, "I'm going back to Kreischer to do homework." He made a pouty-face, as though he were sad I broke our routine of having lunch together on Monday afternoons.

- I am a college student with Creative Writing major/Film minor at Bowling Green State University. I have been writing poetry for a little more than ten years now and fiction for about five. I played several instruments while growing up, including the B-flat clarinet, alto clarinet, oboe, and the piano (which I still play). I also enjoy singing as I see it as a release for my emotions. I love to keep journals but it seems to be easier for me to update one on the computer, which is why I created this account. I still use regular journals; I just need to quit procrastinating on keeping them updated!
